  • What are your regular Business Hours?

    Tuesday - Friday: 7:00 am - 6:00 pm

    Saturday: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm

    Sunday, Monday: Closed

    Private Events can be scheduled outside of regular business hours.

  • What holidays do you observe?

    New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and December 26th.

  • Do you have a rewards program?

    Yes! You will be offered an option to sign up for the rewards program at checkout. You will cumulate points to earn $ rewards on any qualifying items.

  • Can I see allergens on your website?

    Yes! For all of our classes and products, you can use the allergens filter.

  • What is your return policy?

    Purchased kitchen equipment may be returned for a refund or exchange within 30 days of purchase, so long as a receipt is provided, and such equipment is unused in its original packaging.

    Food and beverage items, disposable food containers, and linen items (including, without limitation, aprons, and apparel), may not be returned, and these sales are final at the time of purchase.


  • What payment methods do you accept?

    We accept all types of payments: cash, debit cards, credit cards, and digital wallets like Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, PayPal, Venmo, and checks. You can also choose to pay in installments at checkout via Shop Pay. Please note that we do not accept American Express payments in-store.

  • Do you provide free bags to take my food home?

    No. We encourage you to bring a bag from home to take home the food you purchase or make in class. If you need a bag, you can purchase a paper bag for 20¢ or one of our 4 cute and sturdy TFK reusable bags. If you bring your TFK bag, you will get 25cts off of your order.

  • What services do you offer?

    The French Kitchen offers multiple services in just one place. We are a French Bakery and Café. We also offer Cooking Classes, Private Events, and Catering. We have a Frozen Market and a Boutique. We also deliver!

  • Do you offer catering?

    Yes! We would LOVE to cater your next event! Browse our Catering menu or contact us directly to discuss special requests at info@tfkcc.com or call us at (719) 528-6295. All catering orders must be placed 3 business days in advance. Please note we do not offer on-site setup and service.

  • What days do you deliver?

    We deliver from Tuesday to Saturday. We can sometimes accommodate special order deliveries on Mondays.

  • What is the deadline to place a delivery order?

    By 7 pm for the next day. For example, if you want a delivery on Thursday, make sure to place your order by Wednesday at 7 pm. We do not currently offer same-day delivery.

  • What time will I get my delivery?

    The time of delivery varies based on the route we are doing that day and how many deliveries we have. Generally, you will receive your order between 8 am and 11 am. During busy times like special days and holidays, deliveries could arrive up to 1 pm.

  • What is the radius of your deliveries?

    We deliver up to 20 miles from The French Kitchen situated at 4771 N Academy Blvd. Colorado Springs, CO, 80918.

  • How do I place a delivery order?

    There is a delivery option at checkout. Your order must meet a $60 minimum to be able to choose the delivery option.

  • Is there a fee for deliveries?

    TFK does not charge a fee for delivery. We are, however, required to charge a 29¢ fee for deliveries according to Colorado State law.

  • Do you offer shipping?

    Yes & No! We can deliver non-perishable goods to other states via a third party. Your order still needs to meet our delivery requirements, so your order would need to be at least $60. If you would like us to ship your order to another state, please contact Pak Mail at (719) 593-1212. You will need to pay them the shipping fee, and we will deliver your order to them so they can send it to you. When you place the order on our website, make sure to choose “delivery” at checkout and to write Pak Mail with their address 4419 Centennial Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80907 as the recipient.

  • Do you sell gift cards?

    Yes! We have 6 cute designs you can choose from. We also offer digital gift cards.

  • Do your gift cards expire?

    No! Our gift cards never expire.

  • What can I use your gift cards for?

    Everything we do! You can use it to book a cooking class, to buy items from our frozen market, boutique, café, bakery, etc… The only thing you cannot use a gift card for is buying another gift card.

  • Can you mail a gift card?

    Yes! Provide the mailing address, and we will mail the gift card within one business day. We cannot guarantee when the gift card will arrive at its destination. If you would like a guaranteed delivery date, you can instead choose the delivery option at checkout, and as long as the address is within 20 miles of TFK, we will deliver the gift card on your chosen delivery date.

  • Can you deliver a Gift Card?

    Yes! Your order will need to meet a minimum of $60 and we will deliver it to any address within 20 miles of TFK.

  • Do you offer digital Gift Cards?

    Yes! Simply click here to purchase (link). Within a few minutes, the recipient will receive the gift card.

  • Are you a sit-down restaurant?

    No! We are a Grab & Go Café. In addition to Carry-Out and Delivery, we offer seating, including a bar counter and a comfy sofa. We also offer outdoor seating (weather permitting). We do not offer waiter service.

  • Do you have gluten-free, vegetarian, or vegan items?

    We offer a limited selection of gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan items. We do not have any breads and pastries that are gluten-free. Please note that we cannot guarantee that there is no cross-contamination as we process wheat in our entire facility. In our online shop, we invite you to use the filter for allergens to find the products that best suit you.

  • How do you accommodate food allergies?

    Our kitchen processes foods containing wheat, nuts, dairy, shellfish, and meat, so we can't guarantee a completely sterile environment. As we are a grab-and-go place, most of our items are not assembled to order, so we cannot accommodate allergies. You can filter all our products by allergens before purchasing. If you have questions and/or concerns about allergens, please call or email us before purchasing any item.

  • How long will my bread/pastries be good for?

    As we do not use any preservatives or conditioners in our products, Breads & Pastries are meant to be enjoyed the day of. They typically are best enjoyed within 12 hours of being made. We highly recommend freezing them if you plan on enjoying them another day. See the next question for details.

  • How are the flours you sell different from others?

    Our high-quality bread flours can’t be found in any store. Our flours are unbleached and unbromated. Many of our gluten-sensitive customers happily report that they are able to eat and enjoy products made with these flours!

  • What is the Soup of the Day?

    Our Soup of the Day flavor varies daily. We invite you to click here to see today’s flavor. Due to the complexity of our French Onion soup and our set-up, we cannot serve it fresh. You can however purchase it from our frozen market to heat at home. It always comes with a bag of Gruyère Croutons.

  • Can I customize my drink any way I want?

    No! Our menu has been designed with a European mind to give you the best European experience along with our sweet and savory offering. Because we are not a coffee destination, and because too many drink customizations slow down our line, we have chosen to strictly enforce sticking to our drink menu. We do offer milk and syrup customizations when applicable.

  • Do you make everything you sell in the Café in-house?

    Yes! We pride ourselves in making all of our delicious offerings from scratch in-house.

  • Do you use porcelainware, silverware, and glassware to serve your café items?

    No! We used to offer such services, and we wish we could still offer them. Unfortunately, Covid forced us to modify our offering with a lot more frozen items that require a lot more dishes. Since that time, if we had to add these utensils to our dish pit, they would break, or not be washed on time due to the new processes. We, therefore, had to start using disposables.

  • Can I make a reservation in your café?

    Yes & No! We do not typically take reservations, but we may be able to accommodate your group of 6+ people with advance notice. When a cooking class is not in session, your group can even enjoy our Teaching Kitchen dining table. Reach out to 719-528-6295 to inquire.

  • How can I enjoy your fresh bakery items on days you are closed like Sundays or Holidays?

    Purchase your fresh pastries and breads the day before you need them. Freeze them as soon as possible.

    Pastries: Place frozen pastries in a cold oven. Turn oven on to 350° and bake for 8 min or until flaky.

    Breads: Baguettes, Halves, and Minis: Thaw at room temperature for 30 min and warm in a preheated oven (400°) for about 2 min.

    Boules, Campaillou, and Pavé: Pull slices and leave at room temperature for 20 to 30 min or place frozen in a toaster.


  • What if I cannot pick up my prepaid order for fresh food on the day I chose?

    We cannot offer to prepare your fresh items again the next day. We cannot offer any refund as the items were specifically prepared for you. We will freeze any pastries and breads you ordered. We would keep any fresh items that do not freeze refrigerated. Please note the quality may not be the same if picked up the next day.

  • How long can I keep my frozen items in the freezer?

    All our frozen items have a freezer life of 3 months for breads and pastries and 6 months for the rest.

  • How long can I keep your frozen food in the refrigerator once thawed?

    Typically, all our frozen items will last 7 days in the fridge, once thawed properly following our instructions, unless otherwise stated on our label.

  • When should I arrive for my class?

    Please arrive 15 minutes early so you can prepare for class and enjoy a complimentary hot beverage. For classes less than 2 hours, a hot beverage is not included. A syrup bar is always included.

  • Do I need to bring anything to class?

    No! We provide aprons and disposable containers to take food home. The 1-hour bread class is the only exception as you will need to bring a 3 to 5-qt bowl and a cloth for this class.

  • Can I cancel my class?

    Yes! You can cancel your class for a full refund, store credit or switch to a different class if it is more than 7 days before the class. If you are cancelling less than 7 days before the class, please read our Cancellation Policy as there are restrictions.

  • When do you add new classes to the calendar?

    You can sign up now for any of the classes you see on the calendar. We usually open our calendar in February for September-December and in late August for January-August. We also add classes from time to time, so make sure to check back regularly.

  • Can you adapt the class recipes to my allergies?

    Yes & No! Class recipes are split amongst the whole group; therefore, we cannot alter the recipes. However, there are occasions where we can accommodate a recipe. If you have questions and/or concerns about this policy, please call or email us before signing up for a class. You can also filter classes by allergens when choosing your next class. Our kitchens process foods containing wheat, nuts, dairy, shellfish, and meat. Because we use the same tools across all classes, we can't guarantee a completely sterile environment.

  • Will I get to take any food home?

    Yes! All your culinary creations are meant to be taken home after trying some in class. There is always plenty of food to take home and share for a few days. Note that in our Fix & Feast Classes, there will be less or no food to take home as you eat a 5-course dinner in these classes.

  • Do you offer kids classes?

    No. Participants must be at least 17 years old to attend regular cooking classes. However, teens ages 13-16 are able to attend a regular class with an adult. Some classes also accept children 8-16 with an adult. Both child/teen and adult must pay for a spot to attend a class where children/teenagers are allowed.

  • How do I book a class?

    That’s easy! Just visit our Class page and click on any date and time to register and pay for a class. You can also book from our Calendar, in person, or by phone.

  • Can I register for several classes at once?

    Yes! You can add several classes to your event cart at a time. Add as many classes as you want and check out all at once!

  • What if I don't see the class I want on the calendar?

    If the class you are looking for does not appear, go to the class page. Once you find your class, you will be able to view all the dates available on that page by clicking. We offer a variety of classes every month. A specific class could be offered in October, then January, then May for example.

  • What if the class I want is full?

    Many of our most popular classes fill up quickly! We recommend booking early. We also invite you to sign up for the waitlist. If a spot opens, you will receive an email and text with a 20% discount. You can also book a class as a Private Event.

  • What is a VIP?

    A VIP is someone who has taken 15 classes with us. Once you reach 15 classes, let us know. You will receive special newsletters with VIP discounts or announcements, invites to VIP parties, special VIP treats, and more!

  • Do you have any shorter classes than the typical 3-hour classes?

    Yes! Our Flash Classes offer a quick 1-hour introduction to The French Kitchen with all students making the same thing. Available in sweet and savory. When browsing the classes, you can filter by length to only see the 1-hour classes.

  • Do you only offer Cooking Classes on French Cuisine?

    The French Kitchen’s chef instructors are a unique blend of highly motivated self-taught and professional chefs from different backgrounds. Therefore, our cooking and baking classes represent a worldwide cuisine, including French.

  • What is a Fix & Feast class?

    Fix & Feast classes are a great alternative to dining out and a great night-out experience to share with your loved ones, friends, or co-workers. They are also great to meet someone who shares the same passion for food. In the “Fix & Feast” series, there is less preparation and less food to take home, but much more time at the table to enjoy your meal with others! Fix and Feasts focus not only on the cooking of the meal but the presentation of the food.

    Wine will be served to enhance the experience and in European tradition, a specially curated cheese selection will be served as a fourth course in between the entrée and dessert.


  • Can I order wine to drink during class?

    Yes! We offer Red, Rosé, or White Wine by the glass. We recommend purchasing wine at the time of your class registration, but this option is also available during the class. Simply ask the Class Assistant or Chef. Must be 21+. ID required.

  • Do you offer any discounts for classes?

    Yes! You get 10% off on everything we do* when you take a class. You have 2 options: use your discount in-store 1 hour before class and for 24 hours from the start time of the class. You will receive the code by email at the starting time of the class.

  • Will I eat during class?

    Yes and no! Dining is included in most of the classes, from 1-course to 5-courses but in some classes, you will take all the food home. Simply filter this option on our class page, based on your choice.

  • Do you have beginner classes?

    Yes! All our classes are designed for any level unless otherwise stated. We recommend taking 3 other classes before taking more technical classes.

  • Where can I find more details for each class?

  • Can you come to my house to teach a cooking class?

    Yes! We offer a range of in home menus from Sushi to Appetizer to Full Meals. Check out the link below to get more information. Contact Private Events coordinator Chef Nate to book now.

  • Can you teach One-on-One classes?

    Yes! We offer a wide selection of one-on-one classes from the Single Session Crepes Class to a multitude of sweet/baking classes and savory 4 part classes. Classes range from Intermediate to Advanced as well as a professional development class for Chef's or aspiring Chefs. Check out the link below to get more information.   • Can I customize my menu?

    Yes! Our Private Event Coordinator is happy to customize parties according to format, budget, and the type of experience you envision for your guests.

  • When should I arrive for my Private Event?

    Please arrive 20 minutes early so you can prepare for class and enjoy a complimentary hot beverage.

  • Do you offer group discounts?

    No. Our Private Events are priced based on menus, number of people, and focus of classes. We have a wide range of choices.

  • Can I schedule a Private Event outside of your opening hours, like on a Sunday?

    Yes! Based on availability, we can schedule you Monday through Sunday, in the morning, afternoon, or evening.

  • Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

    We have menus that have a variety of dietary restrictions worked in and are noted on menus. Specific needs can be discussed with our event coordinator. Please note our kitchens are not a gluten or nut-free environment.

  • Can I bring my own alcohol or dessert?

    No. If you would like to add alcohol and/or desserts to your Private Event, our Coordinator will discuss these needs with you prior to the event. As a French Bakery, we have a wide selection of desserts; we are sure you will find what you’re looking for.

  • Is wine included in the menus?

    There are a few specific menus that have wine included as well as some that come with complimentary Bubbly and Bites. We can add French cider, wine, and beer selections to almost any menu. Our Event Coordinator can help guide your beverage and food choices. Beer and wine tasting menus are available upon request; selections and pricing structure are subject to availability. Must be 21+ with valid ID.

  • What if I need to cancel my Private Event?

    Private Events have a specific timeline for cancellation. By browsing our Private Events Policy, you will be able to see the full terms.

    Deposit is 90% refundable for cancellations up to 30 days before the event.

    Deposit is 50% refundable for cancellations up to 15 days before the event.

    Deposit is non-refundable for cancellations less than 15 days before the event.

    Full amount, once collected, is non-refundable for cancellations less than 14 days before the event.


  • Who will be our Chef Instructor?

    Your chef instructor will be chosen based on the menu you have chosen and availability. The French Kitchen’s chef instructors are a unique blend of highly motivated self-taught and professional chefs who have been molded to be engaging and inspiring teachers. They will be guiding, teaching, and cooking alongside your guests as they cook their way to gourmet results. The French Kitchen will make sure that guests leave satisfied and with the knowledge and confidence to replicate the recipes and techniques they acquire here.

  • Is there time for socialization during the Private Event?

    Yes! Most Private Events come with a 3-bite tasting menu of hors d’oeuvres and a glass of sparkling wine. Think of it as a mini welcome reception to The French Kitchen. This will give you 30 minutes of socializing at the beginning of the event.

  • What if some of my guests are reluctant to cook?

    We foster an environment of comfort and collaboration, and our chefs will encourage involvement, but your guests may participate at whatever level they are comfortable with. We do find that as the event gets underway, even the most reluctant cook can become an active participant! Please note that if you choose a team-building event, our staff will ensure that all guests are involved and will work to get everyone working towards the common goal of tasty food.

  • Can we bring kids to a Private Event?

    Yes! Kids as young as 8 can participate in Private Events. This is a perfect way to get kids to start cooking or baking with family and friends. Details will be discussed with your Private Event Coordinator.

  • Do you offer gift bags for my guests?

    The French Kitchen has a boutique section with a variety of cookware, premium ingredients, tools, and wine, so you have the option to give your guests a memento of the event. Custom gift bags can be built to any budget. Gift cards are also available in any denomination so your guests can shop on their own any time after your event. Want a custom apron with the company logo on it? We can do that! Talk to our event coordinator about the timeline and pricing.

  • Do you ever host catered events at The French Kitchen?

    Yes! We have a large group menu on our Private Event page. You can have a catered event on-site with live cooking stations. What a fun way to celebrate a special event without having to do anything!
