Salads - The French Way!

Duration: 3 Hours  Chef: Chef Blandine

Class Description

Do you like light meals? Would you like to learn simple salad recipes to bring along on a picnic or at a potluck? Do you know that in 3 minutes you can make a perfect shaker of delicious vinaigrette, TFK’s popular Mustard Vinaigrette? Put it in your fridge. It will keep for at least a month. Use it on any salad. The best thing is that you will save money and will not eat any preservatives or ingredients you cannot name! You will learn how to make more than 15 different types of salads and a great number of dressings. At the end of class, we will dress a truly healthy Buffet, full of colors, so you can try all the salads. Leave with 16oz of vinaigrette and various salads that keep well. This is a seasonal class that only takes place from May to August.

*Please Note: Recipes may be altered based on the availability of products.

Yes! You can cancel your class for a full refund, store credit or switch to a different class if it is more than 7 days before the class. If you are cancelling less than 7 days before the class, please read our Cancellation Policy as there are restrictions.

  • When do you add new classes to the calendar?

You can sign up now for any of the classes you see on the calendar. We usually open our calendar in February for September-December and in late August for January-August. We also add classes from time to time, so make sure to check back regularly.

  • Can you adapt the class recipes to my allergies?

Yes & No! Class recipes are split amongst the whole group; therefore, we cannot alter the recipes. However, there are occasions where we can accommodate a recipe. If you have questions and/or concerns about this policy, please call or email us before signing up for a class. You can also filter classes by allergens when choosing your next class. Our kitchens process foods containing wheat, nuts, dairy, shellfish, and meat. Because we use the same tools across all classes, we can't guarantee a completely sterile environment.

  • Will I get to take any food home?

Yes! All your culinary creations are meant to be taken home after trying some in class. There is always plenty of food to take home and share for a few days. Note that in our Fix & Feast Classes, there will be less or no food to take home as you eat a 5-course dinner in these classes.

  • Do you offer kids classes?

No. Participants must be at least 17 years old to attend regular cooking classes. However, teens ages 13-16 are able to attend a regular class with an adult. Some classes also accept children 8-16 with an adult. Both child/teen and adult must pay for a spot to attend a class where children/teenagers are allowed.

  • What is a Fix & Feast class?

Fix & Feast classes are a great alternative to dining out and a great night-out experience to share with your loved ones, friends, or co-workers. They are also great to meet someone who shares the same passion for food. In the “Fix & Feast” series, there is less preparation and less food to take home, but much more time at the table to enjoy your meal with others! Fix and Feasts focus not only on the cooking of the meal but the presentation of the food.

Wine will be served to enhance the experience and in European tradition, a specially curated cheese selection will be served as a fourth course in between the entrée and dessert.
